Visualization Literacy Assessment Test (VLAT) is developed to measure users' ability to read, understand, and use data visualizations to solve problems. This website provides a web-based version of the test. To find out more about it, please read the IEEE TVCG paper: VLAT: Development of a Visualization Literacy Assessment Test (presented at IEEE VIS 2016).
Before you begin, please keep these in mind:
The test contains 60 multiple-choice questions about 12 data visualizations. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes to finish this test. For each question, you will be given a static data visualization (left) and a problem to solve (right). Choose the BEST answer to the questions. Select ''Skip'' instead of guessing. At the end, you will be able to see your final score (more feedback on individual questions is not available).
Your Unique Username is: cGzw5sqPZVIXCEIh9VE-odvMDXBHAxyl. We will provide final scores at the end.
We appreciate your participation. Please contact me if you have feedback, questions, or new ideas about the project.
Are you ready? Let's begin the test!
